JIRACOR Awarded sub-contract for new US Army laser training system
/in News /by JIRACOROrlando, FL., (September 21, 2017) – Lockheed Martin awarded JIRACOR a subcontract to provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) of the Instrumentable Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (IMILES) Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS).
Managed by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), the system includes training kits of laser detectors and transmitters to equip military trucks, training weapons, and armored vehicles. The new Instrumentable Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (I-MILES) Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS) program will allow seamless integration with the Army’s existing Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems.
“Being part of the Lockheed Martin I-MILES VTESS program is a great honor for us in providing the necessary logistics information to improve operational readiness and reduce lifecycle costs”, said Richard Coronado, President of JIRACOR, “Together with Lockheed Martin, we will work closely with PEO STRI so our warfighter has the best training capability”, Coronado said.
JIRACOR Awarded SBA 8(a) Certification

The SBA 8(a) certification is a unique program for the federal government marketplace that offers specialized business training, counseling, marketing assistance and high-level executive development provided by the SBA and their resource partners.
JIRACOR is now among a relatively small group of companies that are positioned to receive sole source contracts from the federal government. They are attractive as partners for larger businesses and as participants in joint ventures, enabling them to learn from other more experienced businesses.
Participants in SBA’s 8(a) nine-year business assistance program for small, disadvantaged businesses can gain a foothold in government contracting and may receive sole-source contracts worth up to $4 million for engineering services and $7 million in manufacturing.
